Theo Michael makes collages in the same way a fifth grader presents a school project - by cutting out images from National Geographic and other popular magazines and pasting them on posterboard, or in Michael's case, on the pages of his zine The New Prophecy. This method gives Michael's work a sense of humor and childlike enthusiasm without underminding its visual sophistication and dense narrative qualities. Each two-page spread follows a different theme, which range from monster trucks to Greek cultural figures.
